PhotoCapture Turntables create 360-degree Product Animations in Three Formats:

 

Flash

Individual JPG files can be automatically compiled in the PhotoCapture 360 software to create (.swf) Flash files that can be embedded inside websites, presentations and other media. These files are interactive and allow the user to click-and-drag the item left and right to view it from all angles.

PhotoCapture 360 outputs the following Flash styles:
- AutoPlay with Mouse Control
- Stationary with Mouse Control
- Spin Once with Mouse Control
- Standard Viewer (Features Play, Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind buttons, plus an image slider that controls angular rotation)

A Magnify or Inertia feature can also be added to several Flash styles.

Inertia
Flash files with Inertia allow the viewer to ‘throw’ the object left or right via click-and-drag or a flick of the finger on a touch screen device. The harder you throw the object, the longer it will spin on its own.

Magnifier
Flash files with a Magnifier allow the viewer to select the magnifying glass then drag it over the object to see a close up view of any area.  By scrolling the mouse wheel the size of the magnifying glass can be made smaller or larger.

Flash files are easy to work with. They have been an industry standard for a long time and almost all graphic artists and web developers are familiar with how they work. To view Flash animations, a browser plug-in (free from Adobe.com) is required, however most computers already have the plug-in installed.

Advantages:
- Offers click-and-drag mouse control
- Offers rotation speed control
- Small file size (fast download times)
- Great image quality
- Everything is self contained in one file

Disadvantages:
- Does not work on all mobile devices
- Download times increase when the number of images compiled inside the .swf file increases

 

Animated GIF

This file type has been around a long time. GIF files can only be played, they cannot be controlled by clicking-and-dragging.

Advantages:
- They work almost everywhere and do not require a player

Disadvantages:
- Large file size compared to Flash files
- No click-and-drag mouse control

HTML5

Animations created in HTML5 work off of a server – client structure. All of the high resolution images are copied to a folder on the server and are displayed through the browser.

PhotoCapture 360 outputs the following HTML5 styles:

- HTML5 animations can be delivered and viewed on all computers and mobile devices, including Apple products such as the iPhone or iPad

Disadvantages:

- For offline viewing, HTML5 animation, all supporting images and the codes must be kept and launched from the same folder.

- Requires the local viewing device to have JavaScript turned On or Enabled. However, most devices have JavaScript turned On by default.
