New Features

Ortery releases new software about three or four times a year. In the latest release, several new functions were added.

Photosimile 50, 100 and 200 Products

Super Close Up Mode
This new feature does what it says. It allows the user to take super close up pictures of objects at high resolution. With this feature, Photosimile becomes a perfect tool for people who need detailed shots of small items or to zoom in on a small area of a larger item. The results are amazing.

FTP Capabilities
Our customers asked for this capability and we delivered. Now when a picture is ready to be saved from our program for publishing on the Web or in a magazine, it can simultaneously sent and saved to a designated ftp site.

Ratio Cropping
Some of our customers have website templates that require a square picture or a ratio different than the typical 4x3 camera ratio. For these instances we added the capability to crop images in the real-time preview as a square or just about any custom ratio. Pre-cropping means you don’t have to spend time cropping later.

Editing Profiles
In the spirit of automation, users can create their own mixture of brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness settings, save them as a profile then apply them to any image or set of images they like in a batch process. It’s much better than doing them one by one.

Advanced Positioning
The new PhotoCapture 360 software now provides positioning tips and a wizard to help place your objects in the dead center of the turntable. It also lets you preview each photo angle in real time on your monitor screen before taking any pictures making it ideal for taking pictures of difficult reflective items.

Check and Retake
After the program completes taking pictures around one revolution, the user is able to preview and re-take any of the pictures before continuing on to stitch the images. To retake an image, simply select the image, click ‘re-snap’ and the turntable will automatically turn to that angle, retake the picture and replace the original. With this feature you can ensure each picture is perfect before removing the object from the turntable.

Import Extras
When individual images or pre-created Flash and GIF files are imported into the PhotoCapture program, the user can now stitch or re-stitch the images with the ability to change the filename, file size, rotation speed, whether or not to apply a watermark, as well as the type of flash or GIF file to create.
