Animations created in HTML5 work off of a server – client structure. All of the high resolution images are copied to a folder on the server and are displayed through the browser.
PhotoCapture 360 outputs the following HTML5 styles:
- AutoPlay with Mouse Control
- Stationary with Mouse Control
- Spin Once with Mouse Control
- Standard Viewer (Features Play, Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind buttons, plus an image
slider that controls angular rotationsA Magnifier or Inertia feature can also be added to several HTML5 styles.
Inertia
Flash files with Inertia allow the viewer to ‘throw’ the object left or right via click-and-drag or a flick of the finger on a touch screen device. The harder you throw the object, the longer it will spin on its own.Magnifier
Flash files with a Magnifier allow the viewer to select the magnifying glass then drag it over the object to see a close up view of any area. By scrolling the mouse wheel the size of the magnifying glass can be made smaller or larger.

Advantages:
- Offers click-and-drag mouse control
- Offers rotation speed control
- Small file size (fast download times)
- Great image quality
- HTML5 animations can be delivered and viewed on all computers and mobile devices, including Apple products such as the iPhone or iPad
Disadvantages:
- For offline viewing, HTML5 animations, all supporting images and the codes must be kept and launched from the same folder.
- Requires the local viewing device to have JavaScript turned On or Enabled. However, most devices have JavaScript turned On by default.
