The Right Light Every Time: Professional photography starts with great lighting. Photosimile 400 offers uniform and consistent lighting for taking shadow-free and color accurate photos. It utilizes 12 symmetrical, daylight (6500K) bulbs that illuminate objects evenly, almost eliminating the need for editing. Front, Top and Back lights are dimmable and can be controlled (on/off) manually or through the software.
Mac and PC-Controlled Photography: The Photosimile Image Creation Software controls every aspect of the studio, compatible camera, picture taking and picture processing workflows. The knowledge to obtain a professional photograph is built into the system. Using a computer to take pictures gives the user a real-time preview on their monitor screen and the ability to pre-crop the photo. Pictures are composed and taken by clicking Preview, Rotate, Crop and Snap in the software. Captured photos are immediately transferred from the camera to computer monitor in seconds for viewing, editing and saving.
Image Capture to Image Processing - ONE PROGRAM DOES IT ALLCaptured Images can be annotated, masked, emailed and batch processed with regards to naming, resizing, watermarking and saving. The image processing workflows inside the software make it very efficient to process images for websites, print and email.
Embedded Photography Turntable - In addition to professional still shots, the embedded PhotoCapture 360M turntable creates 360-degree product animations. Supporting a 22" platform and a weight capacity of 100 lbs, PhotoCapture 360M fully automates image capture and stitching to create interactive animations in Flash, GIF and HTML+JavaScript formats. Take Professional Photos - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY - The Photosimile series represents a breakthrough in do-it-yourself business photography. They allow anyone, regardless of photography experience, to shoot products like a pro and immediately process the images for use in any application.
Step 1
Connect compatible camera and Photosimile 400 light box to a computer via USB. Launching Photosimile software turns On the studio.
Step 2
Place items in the light box. Click Preview in the software to view them on your monitor screen in real-time.
Step 3
Compose picture with "Camera Setting", "Crop" and "Rotate" commands. Advanced camera settings such as Aperture, Shutter Speed, Exposure, ISO and more can be controlled remotely through software.
Step 4
Click "Snap" in the software to take a picture in JPG or RAW.
Step 5
Pictures are automatically sent from camera to computer via USB for viewing, editing and saving.
Creating 360-degree Animations
- Press the 3D button in the software
- Place an item on the turntable
Use software to:
- ‘Preview’ the item on monitor screen in real-time
- Rotate the turntable / item 360 degrees and adjust object position until perfectly centered
- While object rotates, compose picture using camera settings and crop commands. (Pictures are cropped as they are taken eliminating the need to crop later) - Select to take between 4 and 200 per revolution, file name, file size and resolution.
- Choose animation speed, spin direction and shooting type (continuous, manual or time lapse)
- Press "Start"
- Software, camera and turntable work in unison to automatically capture the images. (rotate-snap, rotate-snap…, until finished) Images are saved directly to the computer.
- Confirm the quality of each picture taken and re-take if necessary. Turntable will automatically turn to the correct position, re-shoot and replace the original image.
- Resulting images can be exported as JPGs or RAW files, sent via email, printed, annotated, edited or stitched in the software. Stitching the images results in 360-degree animations in GIF, Flash (swf) or HTML+JavaScript format. The animations are ready for immediate use on websites or sending via email.

Real-time Preview
See everything in real-time on your monitor screen before you take a picture. Zoom, Crop and Rotate commands help compose the image before pressing 'Snap' to take the picture.
Pre-Cropping
In Preview mode, drag the crop markers to select the area you want to keep in the resulting picture. Keeping only what you need, not everything the camera sees. Saves time by eliminating the need to edit / crop the image later.

The back wall of Photosimile 400 is lighted from behind, providing the ability to take pictures with a pure white background.
Know what pictures are going to look like before you take them. Previewing puts the camera in live-view mode so you can properly compose the picture while viewing it in real-time on your monitor screen. Also use this feature to properly set the crop markers so that when the image is taken, its automatically cropped to the right size.
The real-time preview, pre-cropping, remote camera control and automatic image downloading technologies save time and effort with each picture taken.
